How is your Rent Determined for Subsidized Housing 
Denver Housing Authority > Housing > Subsidized Housing > How Is Your Rent Determined
 
  The formula used in determining your rent is based upon the highest of the following factors, rounded to the nearest dollar:

 (1) 30 percent of the monthly adjusted income of all household members over the age of 18. (Monthly Adjusted Income is annual income less deductions allowed by the regulations)

 (2) 10 percent of monthly household income of all household members over the age of 18
