Curtis Park

With many completed projects such as Glenarm Place, Blake Street Flats and Trimble Place, the Curtis Park historic neighborhood has brought the neighborhood from one of the most crime ridden neighborhoods    in all the public housing sites to a beautiful community complete with 135 public housing units, 99 affordable housing units and 94 market rate units. Along with these units, a new off-site community center and gymnasium were built as non-residential/civic use.

Curtis Park Land Parcels

Part of the Denver Housing Authority’s (DHA) redevelopment of Platte Valley Homes, a 66 unit housing development in the Five Points Neighborhood, included the provision of homeownership opportunities to diversify housing, increase density, and create more mixed income communities. Through the HOPE VI and the rehabilitation of Platte Valley Homes, DHA has invested over 22 years of redevelopment work in the Five Points Neighborhood. Through the Platte Valley redevelopment, DHA now owns and operates 68 units of affordable housing in Five Points.

As part of the Platte Valley Homes repositioning strategy, DHA is working with Habitat for Humanity to develop two long term affordable homeownership opportunities on the Platte Valley Homes site, and will be creating an additional 13 homeownership opportunities through the sale of the remaining lots. Over the past few years, DHA has worked with the community to ensure that these 13 lots will be designated primarily for single family homeownership and will blend with the unique fabric of the Curtis Park Landmark District.

If you are interested in purchasing one of the vacant lots, please visit www.curtisparklots.com for additional information.
