A completed application is required from all persons seeking employment. Persons selected for a position must:
· Provide verification of education and licenses or certifications
· Have proof of identity
· Show eligibility to work
DHA reserves the right to verify the accuracy of the information on all employments applications, including, but not limited to:
· Verification of former employment
· Criminal background checks
· Personal references

Regular employees whose position is covered by the Union contract are required to join The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME Local 535) Union.
There is no residency requirement for most of the positions. However, some positions require residency in Denver Housing Authority owned property or participation in Denver Housing Authority administered programs and recruitment is done at the property level.
