Denver Housing Authority's (DHA) Resident Opportunities for Self Sufficiency Program (ROSS) offers assistance to families who are interested in working towards self sufficiency, employment and career goals, financial stability, and home ownership.

Credit Repair
As a ROSS Program participant, DHA staff will pull your credit report from all three credit bureaus free of charge.
ROSS staff will:
- explain your credit report to you
offer recommendations on how to dispute incorrect information
help you restart payment programs
help you write letters to clear up delinquencies and collections
assist you in whatever else needs to be done to create good credit
advise you about how to create good credit without taking out any new loans
Money Management
Budgeting, reducing debts, and saving money is a major part of the ROSS Program. ROSS staff provide free money management.
Career Building and Employment services
Raising income is something most people want to accomplish. This is a difficult task because it usually involves increasing employment skills, getting additional education, and having appropriate resources. The ROSS Program offers help with career building by offering:
The ROSS Employment Program provides assistance with the following:
- On Site Classes – Free classes are provided to ROSS clients at DHA sites. Topics include conflict resolution, financial fitness, computer training, GED preparation, and more.
- Computer Training – Free computer classes in Word, Power Point, Excel, Internet, keyboarding, etc.
are offered to ROSS clients.
- Job Boards – Job leads are posted at all sites.
- Internet Job Search – ROSS case managers provide training to clients on how to do internet search for employment opportunities.
Employment referrals and resources.
Career development through training and skill building.
Homebuyer's Club
HomeOwnership participants who are less than a year away from buying a home they are invited to join the Homebuyer's Club. This Club covers advanced topics related to buying a house such as real estate terms, loans, working with real estate agents and other contractors, the home purchase process, and more.
Incentive Plus Class
Incentive Plus classes are offered to all participants of the HomeOwnership Program. These classes cover a variety of topics including real estate, self sufficiency, employment, and more. Participants receive $20.00 coupons towards their home purchase for every class that they attend.
Savings
DHA offers a Matching Savings Account (MSA) for participants of its HomeOwnership Program. For every dollar that a participant saves (up to $1,500 total), DHA will match that dollar when the participant buys a house (if the rules of the MSA program are followed).
