Residents are moving into the latest building in Denver to be repurposed for housing.
Located at 655 N. Broadway, the Denver Housing Authority has completed the conversion of a former medical office building into affordable housing.
The building features 110 new units for residents and rent ranges between $950 and $1,250. 96 of those units will be for seniors and people with disabilities, while the other 14 apartments are for Denver Health patients who have left the hospital and need stable housing to avoid being homeless.
Joshua Crawley, interim CEO of DHA, said in a statement that DHA was happy to team up with Denver Health on the endeavor, and that making sure “patients have stable, affordable housing upon discharge is critical for their continued well-being.”
“We will also assist these patients in finding long-term affordable housing options,” he continued.
