Community Technology Coordinator

The Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (DHA) is looking for a person to perform a variety of basic technology instruction services, including small classes and on-on-one tech support, to low-income clients in Denver.


The Position
The Community Technology Coordinator is responsible for teaching classes and providing one-on-one technical support to low-income clients in DHA’s communities. DHA is working to bridge the digital divide for low-income residents through education, support, and resources including reliable, affordable, high-speed internet, affordable devices, digital training, and access to educational, employment, and health care related services and applications.

Benefit Information:
*Sick leave is accrued at 6 hours per month.
*Vacation leave for new employees is accrued at 8 hours per month.
*12 paid holidays per year with an optional paid day off.
*Health insurance and 125 Plan.
*Group life insurance, pension plan (equal to 10% of the annual salary), short term and long term disability insurance are paid by DHA.
*Dental plan, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, 457 pension plan and the ROTH IRA are employee paid options.
*Performance based merit increases and cost of living adjustments are given depending upon current policy.

Minimum Qualifications at the Time of Application

*One (1) year experience in providing technology-based instruction and/or tutoring.
*Three (3) years of experience with productivity software programs (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
*Familiarity with online resources including social media applications and Google Drive.
*Experience with low-income, culturally diverse populations required
*Bachelor’s degree
*Experience in reporting and/or evaluation
*At DHA’s discretion, a combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
*Valid Colorado driver license. Maintains driving record in accordance with the Personnel Policy. Ownership or access to an automobile for full-time use. Travel reimbursement is provided.

Salary Range
$48,589.09/year ($23.36/hour)
