Development Manager

The Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (“DHA”) is a high performing nationally recognized leader in affordable housing. The Position
Assists the Real Estate Investments staff in planning, structuring, and negotiating investment and development transactions including, but not limited to RAD, CNI, mixed-finance and low-income housing tax credit (“LIHTC”), special limited partnerships, and joint ventures. Assists in underwriting, modeling, and creating financial strategies for current and future transactions. Assists as a liaison to other Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (“DHA”) departments to ensure continuity of information for real estate investments and transactions..

* Sick leave is accrued at 6 hours per month.
* Vacation leave for new employees is accrued at 8 hours per month.
* 12 paid holidays per year with an optional paid day off.

* Performance based merit increases and cost of living adjustments are given depending upon current policy.

Minimum Qualifications at the Time of Application
*Four-year degree in business, finance, or real estate development.
*Two (2) years’ relevant affordable housing finance experience.
*Experience with financial modeling and financial presentations to audiences with various levels of financial expertise.
*Ability to use financial software is desired. Excel expertise is required.
*Knowledge of the theory, principles and methods of finance sufficient to be able to design, implement and maintain a variety of systems of projects.
*DHA may consider candidates without specific experience in affordable housing finance if the candidate has a strong foundation in housing finance more broadly.
*Valid Colorado driver license. Eligibility to drive must be maintained in accordance with the Personnel Policy.

Opening Salary Range
$85,684.02 to $107,105.04/year
