Dr. Jamie Rife currently serves as the Executive Director at the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative, an organization collaborating efforts to end homelessness in the metro-Denver region. Previously, Dr. Rife spent over 15 years in public education. Most recently, she served as the State Coordinator for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth at the Colorado Department of Education. Before relocating to Denver, she spent 12 years in a metro-Atlanta school district as a director, school administrator, Homeless Education Liaison, and classroom teacher. Dr. Rife conducts research on poverty and homelessness and is the co-author of the recent book “Journeys out of Homelessness: The Voices of Lived Experience.” Her volunteer time is spent mentoring young adults in Denver metro and as a board member of the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth.
