The Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver (DHA) is looking for a motivated self-starter to manage and coordinate new and on-going construction projects.
The Position
Manages, coordinates, and directs construction processes from the concept stage through full design, permitting, contracting, and contractor oversight during construction on a timely and economical basis, including turn-over to stabilized operations and asset management. This senior role is expected to oversee the Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver’s (“DHA”) active vertical construction projects, but a strong understanding of and respect for the interface and logistics between vertical and horizontal is a plus. Assist in the planning of real estate development pipeline activities at the direction of the Chief Real Estate Investment Officer (“CREIO”), including supervision of assigned staff, consultants, and contractors employed by DHA.

*Sick leave is accrued at 6 hours per month.
*Annual leave (vacation) for new employees is accrued at 8 hours per month.

Minimum Qualifications at the Time of Application
*Four (4) year degree in construction management, construction science, construction engineering, business, urban planning or related field.
*Five (5) years experience in planning and construction and demonstrated experience with and understanding of contracts, plans and specifications, construction methods, materials and regulations.
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
*Proficiency with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, and estimating, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
*Knowledge of local government as it relates to new construction and building rehabilitation
*Valid Colorado driver license and a good driving record in accordance with DHA Personnel Policy.
*A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
Starting Salary
$96,716.51 – $120,895.29/year
