DENVER —
Real estate developer Javonni Butler recently found the words to describe the path to starting construction on a $126 million mass-timber affordable apartment building in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood in a Grateful Dead song.
Butler, vice president of development for Evergreen Real Estate Group, points to the famous lyric from the band’s song Truckin’, “What a long, strange trip it’s been,” for how it’s felt to navigate design and funding for the ambitious project.
